Yea that slow velocity dooms him in my opinion. While I know some pitchers such as Greg Maddux who was not a hard thrower at all but had excellent pitches are able to get away with it. But as noted in previous post Zito doesnt have the best control. I just dont want his lack luster performances on the mound to hurt our team. Then again with all the money into him they have to try and find a role for him on the staff somewhere

Yeah Zito is like some huge anchor around the teams neck trying to drag them down, didn't work this last season though. Rowand isn't much better.

Can I get some love for Brandon Belt??? he is batting .368 right now. I still have hopes for him making the opening day roster. Prolly cause he is a Longhorn so forgive me being a homer

I was just coming on here to say the same thing. I saw this guy at bat and said to myself "is that pablo" he does indeed look like a different person, needs a smaller uni now i think,lol.

It is amazing how in shape he is in. And he is walking too. And as a faster first step. If he starts raking the ball again. Giants can repeat.

Yea I forgot how much weight he lost. But he looks really good. Cant wait for the season to get rolling!
