Re: 2011 New York Yankees

Jesus at third base? Hmm. If Yankees brass is smart they get him working out in the corners throughout every Spring Training. Little by little he can learn. Have a spot start here or there during the season. By the time Alex is done, Jesus would have 5 years learning the position.

I agree that Romine belongs behind the plate. If the kid can hit, he's gonna make management stress for spots. I think that's best anyway.

The late 90s Yankees always had problems making 10-12 guys happy. This team has a similar issue which I like.

Re: 2011 New York Yankees

I doubt he would be able to handle third, he most likely isn't quick enough. I'm not against them trying it, but I just don't think it will pan out. Most scouts I've heard also don't think he would even be a good first baseman so it seems like he's stuck at DH.

Also you can't bet on Dante Bichette Jr. for anything. He's 18 and playing in short season ball. He's at least 5 years away and a ton can happen between now and then. He definitely had a good year, no doubt, but a solid hitter like he is should always be able to crush rookie league pitching.
