Today was a funeral for Bud Selig, who died of pneumonia in 2019.

Re: 2012 Franchise Progress Thread

Very Frustrated with the game right now. I just got beat by the orioles 5-1. I had Freddy Garcia on the mound who pitched 7 innings of 3 run ball, not a bad start. I swear I had at least 5 double plays in this game. All my outs were hard hit and right at people. Going to get into another game(The rubber game) at Camden, looking to use a different approach.

Final Line Score

NY: 1 10 0
BAL: 5 13 0

Record: 2-3. 1.5 GB in the AL East.

Re: 2012 Franchise Progress Thread

was getting no hit through 8 by the Rockies in game 2 of the series in pittsburgh. down 1-0 after Burnett spun a gem, pitching 9 innings and giving up the single run. Bottom of the ninth broke the no hitter with a single up the middle by Barmes. mckenry popped out, barajas struck out. Tabada singled up the middle to move barmes to third. 1st and 3rd with 2 outs and nate mcclouth hits a 1-2 pitch to right center for the walkoff!! amazing game

6 games into my Tigers season and I'm so frustrated due to the freezing on the Player of the Game menu. I've had to replay 3 games now due to this. Ugh.

Re: 2012 Franchise Progress Thread

Quick Update: The bats came alive in the rubber game. Everyone in the starting line up recorded a hit. I got HR's from Teixeira, Granderson, and Swisher. Frankie Cervelli made the most of his start for Martin recording 3 hits in 4 at bats. I'll continue to use him as he stays hot. Final Score in Baltimore.

NY 12 19 1
Baltimore 1 6 0

I'll upload my screenshot of the box score in a bit as that game felt nice after getting shut down in the 5-1 loss.

Yankees Record: 3-3 1 GB in the AL East

Side note: I made a trade shipping Michael Pineda and Joba Chamberlain to Cleveland for Jason Kipnis, and two B potential prospects. Raul Ibanez has been designated for assignment to make room for Kipnis

Looking to use a revolving door DH system until further notice.

Re: 2012 Franchise Progress Thread

Side note -

Started a brand new Franchise late last night on my Vita. For the first time since purchasing both PS3 and Vita versions of "The Show" I haven't played the Vita version for more than an hour until last night.

Really started to grow on me more and more as the games went deeper. Really liking the Vita version. And for another side note, I went back and charged up the ol' PSP and booted up MLB 09, and holy crap I forgot how good we have it now graphically wise on the Vita. Such a huge difference!

< / sidenote >

Started a Franchise with the Yankees last night on the Vita. Planning to transfer it over on the PS3 later today and play some more games to catch up with the real season.

2-0, so far.

Strikeouts are extremely high though. 13 K's against Shields!!! Insane... but that's because I was getting tired and the Vita screen is so small and the fast play is way too fast for me to think about the next pitch.

The games have been extremely exciting very low score games, but with a lot of homers. Mariano already has 2 saves in the first two games but they didn't come easy. A-Rod's got 2 homers and was huge in the second game vs. Shields in the 9th inning to get the GW RBI.

Re: 2012 Franchise Progress Thread

Robinson Cano finally got his first homer of the year, a solo shot to deep right of of Luke Hochevar, on May 6.

He was the last of the everyday players that hadn't homered.

Record is 24-8, 3.5 games ahead of the Red Sox in the AL East.
