This is the question that I've been searching for an answer for. I simulated my season up to draft day and everything worked fine for me. But unfortunately for a friend of mine who's played all 50+ games up until the draft, he can't get past it. I'm beyond surprised this is not a bigger issue as I've said in previous posts. I think that a lot of people just haven't realized that their franchises are doomed come draft day. It's very bizarre and I've tried to help my friend find a solution but it seems that he's at the mercy of SCEA at this point.
I think there will be a lot of posts/threads popping up as people get to the draft and realize, "uh, oh."
A lot of people think it has to do with the roster file that you're using. But that can't be the case because me and my friend are both using OSFM version 1. The only difference that I know of is that I use 30-team control and he does not. Along the same lines, I made sure that each MLB team actually had (at least close to) 40 men on their 40-man rosters. Again, this might be a stretch, but it's the only variable that's different from my franchise to his.
I'm at a loss otherwise. And I'd be beyond infuriated if I got to the draft only to find out that my franchise is stuck in video game purgatory.
Here's to hoping for a solution. I've looked everywhere for a fix/work around but have not had any luck as of yet.
I havent had any issues at all. Ive had test sims with default rosters, edits to OSFM, 30 team or single team control, and all teams with and without a full 40 man roster.

That's all the more bizarre. Again, I am not having an issue either but I know some people are. It's bound to start happening to people here on OS over the next week or so.

Have any of you experienced players from other teams, changing numbers during the offseason. For example, the twins called up Byron Buxton, on opening day, he was wearing number 7, I went to go see what number Mauer was wearing, and he was at 13 for some reason.
Then I was playing the rays, and kevin kiermaier was wearing 44 instead of number 39. Anyone else experience this, I find it very odd.

Is it possible they became FAs and then re-signed? I'm nowhere near the offseason, so I haven't experienced it on MLB.
It happened to me on Madden. Jay Cutler became a FA, the Bears signed Mark Sanchez and then Cutler re-signed. So Cutler is #5 now.
The Yankees have gotten off to a great start, winning 16 of their first 22 games. They lead the AL East by 3 over the Red Sox and currently have the best record in baseball.

Yankee pitching got hit hard in the first week of the season, but has since settled down. While the team ERA of 3.56 ranks only 19th on the season, the Yankees have only given up 4 runs or more once in their last 17 games.
The Yanks rank 2nd in batting average, hitting .278 so far, and lead the league in home runs (34). The offense has come from all over, including some surprises.
Chase Headley leads the team in home runs with 7, and Didi Gregorius leads in batting average at .373. His .373/.439/.627 hashline has been particularly impressive.
Jacoby Ellsbury has been a beast on the basepaths, stealing 15 bases in the first 22 games of the season, without being caught stealing all year.
The only truly disappointing hitter thus far has been Brian McCann (.186/.275/.271).
On the mound so far, I've gotten what I expected out of my starters. Masahiro Tanaka has been good, but not great (2-1, 2.78 ERA, .246 BAA).
Closer Dellin Betances has been outstanding to this point (9 SV, 1.38 ERA, .209 BAA) but might begin to suffer from rubber arm if I don't get him some rest. He's pitched 13 innings in relief in 11 appearances. That's largely due to Andrew Miller.
Miller has been a disappointment so far, (7.50 ERA, 1.67 WHIP, .292 BAA). There have been a couple of occasions already this season, where I went to different options, (notably Adam Warren), in late and close situations. I had been hoping that I would be able to split some of the closing duties with him, but that appears not to be the case.

Callups:
Jose Pirela made his debut on April 29th. He came up after Brett Gardner suffered a head contusion on the 27th. Gardner is expected to miss about 3 weeks.
Pirela was called up due to his ability to play nearly every position (the only position he lacks is 3B). With only 1 extra middle infielder and 2 dedicated third basemen on the team (Headley, Rodriguez), I needed the flexibility to give the middle infield some rest. He had put up a hashline of .400/.421/.491 in Scranton prior to being called up. If he continues to hit that well, he'll be hard to send back down.
Things started bad and never got better. After getting Crisp out to lead off the game. Ventura would walk Zobrist and then give up a 2 run homer to non other than Billy Butler. They would add 2 more later but it wouldnt have mattered anyway. The offense completely failed to show up. The first hit didnt come until the 6th inning from a Lorenzo Cain bunt. Would only add one more hit after that.
Didnt have to wait as long to get a hit in this one. Gordon lead off the game with a strikeout but reached after the catcher dropped it. Hosmer got a hit to center after an Infante strikeout and Morales procede to ground into a double play. Bats finally came to life in the 4th. Hosmer lead off the inning with a double to right. Morales walked. And A batter latter Moustakas hit a single to right scoring Hosmer. Escobar got a single to right scoring Morales and then Perez got a single to center scoring Moustakas. Hosmer would get one more home in the 7th giving him his 4th hit of the game. Vargas pitched a hell of a game afer having to use the pen so much in the 1st game. Didnt have great command but was was able to fight through it.
We started off somewhat strong. Hosmer continued where he left in game 2 with a 2 out hit. Morales would walk after that but Rios flied out to center to end the inning. Oakland started even stronger with a lead off double from Gentry. Was able to get the next two batters out but Reddick hit a single to left to score Gentry and make ti 1-0. Got our 1st run in the 6th when Moustakas doubled to center and Escobar followed that up with a double of his own to tie the game 1-1. But Oakland would come right back with scoring Butler on a triple by Lawrie to retake the lead. Add a run in the 7th and we are down 3-1 heading into the 8th. After getting 2 easy outs Escobar hit one over the left field fence to cut the lead to 1. But it would again be for nothing as Reddick hit a homer of his own in the bottom of the inning to go up 4-2.

Oakland would score in the first for the 3rd time in the series after Gentry tripled to lead off the game and Zobrist got him home on a grounder to short. Luckily we would come right back in the top of the 2nd. Rios and Moustakas went back to back on homer to right to lead off the inning and give us a 2-1 lead. Perez singled to center after an Escobar fly out. Cain walked after that. With 2 outs Infante singled to center scoring Perez to make it 3-1.
Semien lead off the bottom of the 3rd with a walk and Gentry hit his 2nd triple of the game to score him. 2 walks later Ike Davis hit a sac fly to Rios scoring Gentry to tie the game.
Rios and Moose continued their hot game in the 6th. Rios got a one out single and Moose hit his 2nd homer of the game to take a 5-3 lead. Infante and Hosmer lead off the 7th with singles. Morales would got hit by a pitch to load the bases with no outs. Rios grounded into a double play but Infante was able to score to make it 6-3.
A's would fight back scoring 2 in the 8th. And then Ike Davis hit a HR to right in the bottom of the 9th to tie the game at 6.
That wouldnt last long though as Moustakas walked to lead off the 10th and Escobar tripled to bring him home. Perez singled to left to bring home Escobar and give us a 8-6 lead and a game 4 win to force game 5 at home.

This game was frustrating. Couldnt get to much going offensively. Jarrod Parker dominated like he did in game 1. Morales finally decided to do something with a lead off HR in the 2nd inning to make it 1-0. Oakland came right back in the 3rd. 4 straight walks to lead off the inning and score a run. But Ventura was able to get out of it after Reddick hit a laser to Hosmer who was able to tag crisp at 1st for a double play. Ike Davis would then fly out to end the inning.
Everything was quite until the 8th when Reddick lead off with a single and Gentry came in to replace him as a pinch runner. Gentry stole 2nd. Went to 3rd on a Davis ground out. And then scored the go ahead run on Lawrie single. His 4th hit of the game. Thought it was over for sure there.
Perez lead off the bottom of the 8th with a ground out to the pitcher. Cain singled to left. Gordon and Infante walked to load the bases with 1 out. Hosmer grounded to Davis at 1st who threw to 2nd and Hosmer was able to be the throw back to 1st allowing Cain to score.
Bottom of the 10th. 1 out runners on 1st and 2nd. Hosmer hits a grounder to 2B. 2B throws to Semien for the out at 2nd. And Semien throws it into the dugout. Gordon gets to score and we are gifted a win to advance to the ALCS for the 2nd straight year.
Inside The Show
A win is a win. But it was a terrible series. Bad pitching continued from the last week or so of the regular season. Offense was very inconsistent. Gordon, Morales and Rios combined for 5 hits and 2 RBI. If that happens again there is no way we get past New York.
Oh and that damn stamina bug for the playoffs sucks ***.
