What's sad is that I still don't feel like Werdum is a better fighter than Cain at all. I feel like that fight went the way it did 100% because of the altitude. I think Cain will win the inevitable rematch with ease.

Weak event overall. I hope we don't have to see anymore Mexico City events.

So honest question. Let's talk Werdum's legacy.

He submitted Fedor, back when Fedor was still the scariest guy in the world.
He mollywhopped a prime Roy Nelson, and a prime Travis Browne (made Browne look silly in that fight)
Submitted Cain
Knocked out Mark Hunt (an old Mark Hunt, but still, Mark Hunt)
Subbed Nog

I mean that's pretty impressive, as far as all-time HWs does he stack up in any top lists?

I agree that the altitude clearly was a huge factor, I am sure the long layoff did not help either.

Do the rematch in Vegas, then we will see

I think we will see one in the next 2 years. Mexico City has sold out two straight events and I dont think many cities can say that. Plus the UFC cant leave money on the table like that.

No excuse for Cain though. On Embedded, Javier Mendez said he asked Cain to go to Mexico City much earlier but Cain would only agree to 2 weeks. Thats a big reason he lost.
