Do the rematch in Vegas, then we will see
Nah. I'm not a big fan of doing immediate rematches if you get stopped. Give JDS the next shot. They have a history and it would be a great main event for the Brazil PPV they may do in November.

Give Cain someone like Hunt or Nelson and maybe put him on the Fox card in December.

No excuse for Cain though. On Embedded, Javier Mendez said he asked Cain to go to Mexico City much earlier but Cain would only agree to 2 weeks. Thats a big reason he lost.
I saw that and scratched my head a little. Werdum was there for 6 weeks or something like that wasn't he? Think he was there a long time for he Hunt fight as well? I can't remember the exact details.

But yeah, why take that chance?

For sure, I meant if they do end up rematching down the road, which might not even happen. JDS/Werdum is an interesting fight.

In fact there are lot of great matchups right now in the HW division. As exciting as its been in awhile

Exactly. Werdum was there for 2 mos. He did a month before the Hunt fight. Poor planning and a bit of arrogance by Cain. He took that Cardio Cain **** to heart. High altitude affects us all no matter who you are.

Thats the big positive to the Werdum win. It opens up the division. We have 3 potential contenders against Werdum (JDS/Miocic/Arlovski) and a Cain rematch down the road.

I was stunned to hear that he only came there in 2 weeks advanced. If I would have known that I wouldn't have thought he would win. Especially since he hadn't fought for 600+ days.

Subbed Nog

I mean that's pretty impressive, as far as all-time HWs does he stack up in any top lists?
I don't know where he ranks, but man, that's an impressive resume and he's definitely been underrated.

The only thing that hurts him imo are the Overreem losses and the Jds loss. With that said he is a whole different fighter now. Hell of a resume now too.
