If you add in rhythm shooting and its probably broken lol

For the sim experience low risk is probably the one that generates the best results.
You can still miss perfect releases with it.

Shooting is different for me since release. I went back to try high risk, and I couldn’t hit every open shot like I could when the game was first released. Plenty of misses now.

I play with real teams also. It depends on which patch/update you are playing on. When I first started this thread, I was under the belief that normal release was the best. But now, I am not sure if it is normal or high risk.

It's very very difficult to hit anything above light pressure on low risk profile, because low risk takes in consideration also how open you are, so if you are contested the chances of making a shot drop considerably, along the green window. Even with a KD or MJ on the mid range it's extremely difficult to hit a tight contested shot on low risk. You need to hit the green window perfectly and then hope for the RNG.

This with default sliders. Luckily it seems that the shot coverage slider still works with low/normal/high risk and hence you can lower that and you will be able to hit even contested shots on low risk, albeit still much less frequently than with high risk if you know your release well (but in that way you remove great part of the impact of player ratings from the equation).

I would really like for 2K to introduce a true slider that governs contested shot making so that we could control it directly instead of doing so indirectly via the green window or diminishing the impact of the contest. Or at least have the shot coverage work only for the shot contest without lowering the green window overall (just introduce another slider to govern such a thing).

Rhythm shooting is so much fun. I’m on normal but may drop back to low. I’m always shooting step backs with 77 and the green windows change depending on the shot animation . And he has a ton of step back animations.

It's a math problem you got to figure out. This probably the most user dependent things 2K has ever put on the user.

From my understand if you don't care about releases that much. Low is the way to go. But if you care about every single release. High Risk is what you should do.
