I feel your pain. I approach it the same way. I've brought up this issue on Simnation. It's rare(not impossible) for guys to improve their running and jumping in the league, but people always work on their skills. Having to blow a whole bunch of points on expensive athletic skills is silly. They could just put more into how that athleticism translates into the game.

The problem is right now that having high speed and high dunk is almost as valuable as having high handles and high finishing. I think 2k needs to build a system around upgrading skills that is fun and challenging. If they want to give you a boost in that area for an unathletic or undersized player, that's fine, but the system should be there.

Having a slow player get faster over the course of the season generally doesn't make sense.

Don't worry though, right now the servers have been taken over by the patented 2k hamsters running on wheels in the server room. Just got kicked into an offline mode and can't access MyCareer

Both do not sound enjoyable to me. It's just ironic to pay for a game, and be force to grind just so you can start to enjoy it. All because 2K wants to make a few extra bucks by forcing your player to be absolutely horrid with no customization on how he plays other than the position he plays.

Just saying - it's hella lame. Kinda why I was excited for that Pre Order bonus, to sidestep that farming. I'm forced to farm too much already in Destiny. -_-;
