Its not that I don't attack the basket its that even though there is more contanct in the paint then in the past there is still not enough and to often when I get fouled there is no call. I am seeing a few plays a game where I get a four arm shever right into my players chest but they don't call the foul.

Fouls are on the low side but that hasn't bothered me so far. I would be ok if there were a little more but I think maybe that's the reality that needs a nerf on this one.

I used to be big on thoses fouls though. I like that it's not too easy to get them this year, I think it balances the gameplay a little bit.

I play with foul sliders at 50 and I get a decent number of fouls. The key is changing the way the game recognizes contact, which is through sliders. The key sliders that affect contact are the inside contact and driving contact sliders. By setting these sliders to zero, the contact that you do see is more organic, allowing the game to recognize hard contact on drives to the basket and calling fouls.

At default, the contact is "canimated," so the game doesn't recognize it as contact impeding the offensive player unless it's overly aggressive contact.

If that's what it takes for a sim game than that's what it takes.

Remember, there are sliders. If the shooting foul frequency is at 100, that should be the most extreme setting. Like 40 fouls per game type. Their should still be input for the user and he should be allowed to balance it the way he sees fits.

I'm referring to all the off the ball and non shooting fouls that would need to be put in the game to truly mimic real life. You can only control 1 man at a time on defense. To get a realistic number of fouls you have to be willing to have your AI teammates commit fouls that you have no control over and have fouls called for just bodying somebody up to tight.

This would be true simulation and should be what is expected on all the simulation difficulty levels. You know the whiners around here will cry cheese any time a call goes against them. In today's climate you have to bubble wrap and baby proof anything that makes a sports game more difficult or it's pronounced to be "BROKEN!!!!".

What have basketball fans these days become?

So soft just like some of the star players who flop and cry for foul calls smh..

Less fouls = More contacts = Old school = More fun

The only thing that probably needs to be fixed regarding this soft issue is the slider effectiveness and that's about it.

No trivial foul calls please.

You might be on to something here. So you're saying by lowering the driving contact tendencies you are seeing more fouls? Like the 20-30 range?

I strongly believe that fouls are tied to the new animation system this year. It's like the foul animation has to be triggered inorder for a foul to be called. And the game is probably hard coded to have only so many canned animation calls during a game.

How many fouls are you seeing with this change?
