Re: PHYSICS. PHYSICS. PHYSICS.

The last time 2K Sports introduced live ball physics, it was a complete fail. It was NBA 2K12 pre-patch.

Did anyone dunk on deandre Jordan this year?

Probably not. If they did, how many attempts versus how many succeeded. How many people know not to try and dunk on deandre Jordan?

No one can dunk on deandre Jordan 30 times a game, 30 times a year, probably even less than 30 times in his career. But on 12 minute quarters, i bet somebody has on say even rookie.

No way that should be possible in that frequency on any difficult. A deandre Jordan should be feared by everyone because everyone knows not to.

Until post defense gets a boost this game will forever be flawed.

Not exactly sure what this has to do with the topic, but DeAndre has definitely been dunked on this year. Several times in fact.

I'm not saying that people don't get dunked on too often in 2k, because they do. But these things definitely do happen in real life. Everybody, not matter how good a defender/shot blocker they are, gets posterized from time to time.

*And that's just from a quick, 2-min search on YouTube.

I disagree with you on these things shouldn't happen on rookie difficulty. That's exactly what rookie difficulty is for. It's an easy mode designed to let beginners learn the rope, and let little kids without a full grasp of the controls to still have success.

Skip to 2:02, so yeah what happened to the hand and ball interaction. 2015 and we still have to see force fields between solid objects.

Yea it's sad to see a next gen game where guys teleport onto you when spamming x, or teleport into a block, morph through you when there should be contact on a drive, etc.

If there's gonna be animations in the game, then they have to be refined a lot...

Re: PHYSICS. PHYSICS. PHYSICS.

Physics is a big problem.
Players like Wall, Westbrook, Rose, Collison, etc. can't use speed because of all the animations or lack of control of the players.

The CPU will choose different animations at different times aka cheating.

2K needs to get rid of their 100 system and also use realistic attributes: vertical, wingspans.

Re: PHYSICS. PHYSICS. PHYSICS.

the animation where the players flop/get knocked over/ran over animation, annoys me to no end.

not only it makes no sense when you factor in strength and weight most of the time but there is no kind of offensive or blocking foul call or any kind of acknowledgement that my player just got ran over.

definitely one of the worst sequences in the game and it constantly happens
