As the rest of the series progresses and improves the passing issues stand out even more in context. I can't play online or head to head with friends too often because the passing sends my blood pressure through the roof.

I'm telling you, this game doesn't reward you for your skills... there's things that you just can't explain when playing.

It's nerve wrecking

I'm not buying 2K16 if the passing isn't significantly improved.

Love the flashy passes. Upset it's being changed to Double tap B.

But I've seen a lot of 2K games where it was imo worse.

Pretty much how I feel...passing really doesn't bother me much at all...in fact I think this so the best they e done with contextual passing in a while...

Could be my playstyle could be my experiences with passing in 2k12/13 that had made me appreciate it more, lol

Re: Passing is AWFUL in 2k at the moment!

I agree with most of the issues that have been mentioned in this thread so far.

Another thing that drives me crazy is that often, when you see an open man standing in a good position to score (if he kept standing exactly were he was) he starts to move once you played the pass. The result is that the player either moves behind a defending player while he tries to catch the ball and ultimately you turn it over or he ends up being in a much worse position than in the moment you pass it to him.

This is especially annoying when you see a big man open near the basket and while catching the ball he walks towards the three point line, instead of having an easy layup or dunk.

However, the main reason why passing is flawed is a lack of player movement in my eyes. If you play isolation or you can't finish a play because of the defense and decide to abort the play, the players just keep standing around instead of trying to get to an opening. It's like the game wants you to play iso ball, because in most of these situation there is not much else you can do to make a play.

Re: Passing is AWFUL in 2k at the moment!

My bad experience with passing is

1. Pass animation selection. The passes are already slow in some animations so it doesnt help that it take some passes a couple of mili seconds to get thrown which forces turnovers all the time, and these are times when I make the right decision and the man is open. right decision, wrong animation.

2. automatic Lead passing, for some reason in this game players like to take a couple of extra steps towards you or a couple of extra steps away from you even if you didnt even lead them in that direction. My icon lead pass is off and it still happens which messes up the spacing bc the guy runs to close to you bringing his defender or to far away sometimes causing turnovers or breaking a play. Its like the cpu just randomly works against you and when the pass is in the air they just run to spots you have no idea they will run to.

3. OF COURSE PASS SPEED, this is what made zones that should be ineffective for the most part, effective, this is why the 1-3-1 last year wasnt easily sliced up. Now 3-2 is a PRIMARY legit defense for some, better than man to man.

Passing should be a TOP PRIORITY to get right bc it is holding this game back. Everybody know 2k needs better passing and DEFENSE, ppl been knew this was the problem with 2k for YEARS. Gotta do something about this now man.

I was just trying to articular what you are saying. I have NO idea why the big man (CENTER) runs to the damn three point line especially when clearly in a set that requires him to be around the paint or open. Yeah we know he tries to avoid 3 secs but the THREE POINT LINE!? I was saying that they take to many steps towards you when you pass the ball or either away from the spot where you thought they would be as if auto lead pass is on.

I want my big man around that block box, he doesnt even have to be in the paint under the rim, just in that area so he can be ready to catch, gather and finish, SIMPLE.
