Dribble drives are almost next to impossible

Dribbling makes no sense.

We were blowing this pro am team out by 30 so I put my controller down on defense to text.

My opponent came down the court spamming dribbling moves and caused my LDD to get his ankles broken while my grand badge was on.

How the hell does that happen if I'm not even moving .

Animations are killing the game

It takes time and a good ball handler but I can but I can burn by guys all game with Curry.

This is with simworld rosters and sliders that are not a walk in the park.

If not then I should be able to get canned animations in the post off my fakes.

I play heavy MyGM and my biggest example is Giannis. I cant get by the CPU at all with him no matter who guards me. I play him at the 4 so he has the speed advantage in most games and I find it funny I get forcefiedled by guys like Zach Randolph and Marc Gasol. Like WTF.


2k's animation driven game is why Live 18 intrigues me so much. Their devs are touting their new defensive system. From what I hear skill matters and how the devs explained it, it seems true. They said if you spam reach youll get destroyed. They said when you defend there is a small window depending on what move your opponent does that if you reach at that exact moment you can have a 50% chance at a steal. Aka the best defenders in Live 18 wont be the ppl who can spam steal the fastest. It will be the people who time their reaches the best. Lockdown archetypes steal windows will obviously be much larger that everyone else's so im glad about that.

Post scorer's fakes will literally cause defenders to auto contest when their defensive help is set to 0.. And HOF drop stepper makes defenders go flying from the low post to the free throw line..

The ankle breaker logic on 2k17 is just stupid




You can literally stand in 1 spot with your grand badge and spam left to right dribbles and if you do it long enough you will get an ankle breaker animation. That's broken.






It should work based off skill. If I hit you with a left right dribble and you reach wrong both times you should lose your balance. If you never ever reach on the perimeter then that alone should reduce your chance of getting broken by like 90%. The other 10% should be how you use your turbo when keeping up with lateral moves. a PG VS a center should be all bad for the centers ankles.

Only if your lucky enough to get opponents who don't double team or spam reach on you all game in the park. Pro Am is better with the reaching but as soon as you do one good post move I guarantee your getting doubled against anybody good lol
