So, currently it looks like I'm moving back to Shooting Guard. Slashing Playmaker, 6'5. Maintains most of the things I want out of the build. Shooting is suspect, but I believe with the right badges I can cobble something together. Ended the practice game in overtime with 45 pts, 13 assists.

I'm sure they're fixing blow bys, I could literally get by my defender at will. Didn't get the contact dunks I wanted without takeover, but with takeover I murdered Draymond with a (New!) Windmill.

Again, this is a demo. I didn't have anything I'd run equipped, nor did I have a feel for layup timing. It's too early to say what will work after a day 1 patch, but if this works, I'm at least back to my 2k18 roots. That will satisfy me.

Custom pie charts would be awesome if implemented, but I'm worried about the min max things that could be done.

Honestly I'd be ok with being able to break a cap, but each extra point costing 3 instead of 1. So you can up it, but you really need to look at it hard.

My concern with custom pie charts is how 2k sets the attribute caps. I doubt they let us have custom attribute caps. I think you can have fun and be limited at same time. Have all ratings set to 0. Since they give us around 415-460 points now, make it 700 because everything is at 0. You can create your ideal build without it being OP.

Didn't 2k16 or 15 have the ability to break the cap? Where you could have additional 10 cap breakers or was that set already? That would be nice if they allowed in additional 10 attribute points you could earn.

Just got around to really messing with the SF builds, and quiet as kept it’s not as doom and gloom as the comments made it sound.

You do get punished heavily in ball handling as you increase height. But the rest of the stats can play out nicely with some smart choices.

I wanted a point forward, and have two potential builds. One with more shooting, the other a little more defensive.

Totally agree here, actually. I don't really want broken, and I'm fine with it as is. I think being able to set the badges is something we're all going to overlook until we play the full version and see what it does. I didn't get many catch and shoot/Corner 3 opportunities in this demo, but I suspect in a game scenario off a dimer pass, with silver corner/catch and shoot/badge that helps with mistimed jumpers, I'll be able to keep defense honest.

That's actually all I'm looking for. I don't need knockdown shooting, I just want the defense to know I'm going to sink a few so they cant sag off.

Also, don't know if any else noticed: Bailout, the badge for passing out of shots was activating during traps in my game. So, food for thought

Does anybody know if we receive extra badge cap when we break a cap? And what has been the best sf build u created? I find be a 6'6 broken especially most sf are 6'8-6'10

A few random notes...

- please have post, rebounding, and defense in their own categories.
- I thought we could allocate attributes the way we wanted? At least have different pies for bigs and guards - SF should have access to both IMO. There are still attribute points being used in areas that I don't care for.
- Would like to do a blacktop mode with my player (1v1, 3v3) because let's face it, that's why the majority of us are here
- 95 OVR feels like 60 OVR without my animations and just overall feel/experience for my player by grinding to 95
- A hybrid archetype/2k20 MP system would be ideal. Say you get 300 attribute upgrades, 150 would go towards your primary skill and how you use the remaining 150 will determine your secondary.

I really hope that they replaced the road to 99 with park rep and the park rep at the higher levels have some nice rewards like more badge points or more attributes to break the caps on certain attributes

Made a defending/slashing playmaker, put his test overall at 95

Before I clicked start I realized something,

I went back and checked various potentials, at the starting cap of like 86....

And most builds will seem utterly useless until they reach mid to high 90s.

Im talking about a pg with a 95 potential ballhandling only having a 78 and like 90 overall... When ballhandling is one of his main attributes.
