Re: NBA 2K14 Wishlist Thread

For all the Association guys out there...

Dynamic Tendencies.

All the time, we have rookies coming into the league IRL who are passive their first few seasons, but as they grow as a player, they become more and more aggressive and look for their own shot (Tony Parker). Other times, players start off aggressively, but as they join a team with more aggressive players, they may start to become more passive and not shoot nearly as much (Jason Kidd).

The tendencies should also adapt to a player's attributes and ratings as they increase and decrease. I don't want to see a 40 year old Derrick Rose still driving into the paint every position because that's what he did when he was 22, I want to seem him start to rely more on his jumper and I want to see his game slow down, but still be effective.

Re: NBA 2K14 Wishlist Thread

completely redo anything that has to do with "creating".

create-a-team hasn't been changed in years, and is more like "assign a name and some colors to our half-arsed pre-made jerseys and logos". i know 2k has other priorities like gameplay and stuff and that's fine, but i've never seen a creating feature so limited and restricted in my life.

and as im sure its been mentioned countless times, all the created players look like neanderthals and all look related.

they should do what winning eleven has been doing for years with creating and customization. The game has very few licensed teams, but you can easily recreate any league and any team perfectly, or very, very close to it. for logos you can simply upload a high-quality png image, and for jerseys you can layer image after image, re-position, stretch, re-size. and for

created players, you can upload face pictures. the customization of winning eleven on consoles is practically on the same level as the NBA pc Mods out there.

also, jerseys today are more form-fitting than they were in the past, but in 2k they're still kind of baggy.

I know i mentioned a lot of visual stuff that doesnt add to gameplay, which many people might find as pointless, but i feel that the culmination of all the little details put together really a difference for the better. I also agree that gameplay and stuff need improvement, but its something i didnt want to cover as their are many, many other posts with good suggestions regarding gameplay

Re: NBA 2K14 Wishlist Thread

  • Improve speed when moving without the ball. It seems like no matter if I'm sprinting or not, my speed when trying to move without the ball and come off of screens is very slow and much slower than the CPU defender chasing me. They also recover too fast.
  • The CPU is too focused on trying to score in the paint. In 2K13, there is so much lead pass cheese by the CPU and they all just try to pound it in the paint. Just vary up the scoring tendencies.
