Re: Official Boston Celtics Thread

I would be open to moving Bradley. That's not to say I want to, but I think we have seen peak Bradley. Or at least close to it.

Our friends at Real GM have transcribed some commentary by Brian Windhorst:

“The Celtics is the trade that has made sense for six months,” said Brian Windhorst. “I happen to know the Cavs really like Avery Bradley and to me, I would want Marcus Smart and I would want one of the draft picks. You’re not getting the high pick obviously, but you want one a draft pick.”

Windhorst also talked about how the pressure has been removed by winning a title and they can afford to wait to let the trade market come to them on Love.

Avery Bradley and the 16th pick for Kevin Love? I’m down. I’d even through in another late 1st round pick.

I still think Cleveland moves Love this off-season. Title or not, they’re not getting anything near consistent play from a $20 million player. He just doesn’t fit the system.

The two rumors I've seen today are
1) Khris Middleton http://nesn.com/2016/06/nba-trade-ru...al-with-bucks/
and
2) Nerlens Noel https://fansided.com/2016/06/21/nba-...-nerlens-noel/

The Middleton trade is supposedly for #3 and "a contract" and the Noel trade doesn't really have any specifics... I'm assuming that it isn't for 3. I mean, I like Noel, but he isn't worth the 3rd pick, imo.

What would be amazing is if both trades happened. Something like 3 and Amir for Middleton (although I doubt the Bucks would take that) and AB and 16 for Noel. As much as I love AB and want to keep him a small ball lineup of Smart, IT4, Middleton, Crowder and Noel sounds pretty awesome. I won't go as far as to call it a poor man's Golden State, but I do love the versatility it would provide.
I believe I would rather have Middleton than Noel to be honest. Noel is younger but Middleton is already proven.

I too wouldn't care to let AB go. He's been a solid player for a while but he's reached his peak/prime already. He's been consistent though.

But, if we can get players we need to take us over the hump then so be it. AB is just so solid on both ends of the floor though. It's hard to find two-way players like him anymore.

Re: Official Boston Celtics Thread

per @chadfordinsider the Celtics have a standing offer from the Sixers: Okafor for the #3 - so far C's "want more"

Yeah, pass on Okafor for the #3 straight up. I would rather us keep the pick instead of trade for Okafor.

Re: Official Boston Celtics Thread

I'm still hoping for a big trade, but assuming that doesn't happen this is my hope for draft night

1) Murray
2) Hield
3) Bender
4) Trade for Okafor
5) Brown
6) Dunn
7) Chriss

Re: Official Boston Celtics Thread

1) Dunn
2a) Trade for Noel
2b) Murray

Other options currently on the table don't move me at all.

Re: Official Boston Celtics Thread

I hope they continue to pass on Okafor. Noel would be great.

Keep the Pick my preference would probably be Bender or Dunn i guess.
