Re: Toronto Raptors

Why would Ujiri take a GM job with Raptors if he wouldn't even be doing as much as he wanted to....He's reigning Executive of the Year. If he takes Raptors job, he will have 100% control, don't get why you think he won't.

And if BC is in non basketball role, then how will he have any input on anything that goes on? I really doubt he's even gonna be in that role for long anyways. Remember when Burke was fired? He took some random role with the Leafs, and a few weeks later, got signed back by the Ducks. I could see same situation happening here.

Re: Toronto Raptors

B.C. will have absolutely no input on basketball decisions, lol. The "business" role is basically Brian Burke with the Leafs, a 'consulting' role. Means absolutely nothing.

I see what you guys are saying. Why not just fire him outright and move forward with a clean slate? Are they just doing this out if respect for the "colangelo" name?

They're trying to save face for him, because "business role" is a lot less demeaning to BC than "fired."

Re: Toronto Raptors

And maybe they're preventing him from going to any team(like being some sort of scouting role or something on Lakers,Celtics,Nets,Heat ect.) so if a team like the Suns want to hire him, Raptors give them permission to do so.

Why would they prevent him from doing that, though? And it isn't like he's exactly a valuable commodity, lol.

In Toronto he's not, but like I've been saying, if he were to go to a big name market, he could do alot.

Why do you think that?
