And Dalembert at C isn't good option? He can get around 7-8 rebounds per game(a category Raptors did HORRIBLE in this past season) and about 2 blocks per game(Raptors are average team in blocking, but getting an extra 1-2 blocks per game would make them one of best blocking teams in league)

Dunleavy finished top 10 in league last year in 3PT%,so don't get how someone like Korver,Morrow is really much better option if your reason was cause those guys are good 3pt guys.
You seen Nate? Bynum > Sessions but Nate is better than all those guys, I'd be thrilled to have him.

Dalembart's a decent option, yeah, not the best around, but I was just listing other guys in addition to him.

I like Korver and Morrow over Dunleavy because they can create their own shots a bit better and Korver's a better 3pt shooter than Dunleavy. I'd really rather Belinelli over all those guys though because he can create his own shot, he's got a great shot, and he's clutch as hell to whatever extent clutchness truly exists. I just prefer a guy like Curry over a guy like Novak because I like having big men in the post rather than out near the 3pt line. Granted, I could see Amir really continuing to develop his 3pt shot but I still want him staying in the post first and foremost. That's why I'd rather a guard be my 3pt specialist over 6'9" tweener Dunleavy.

And that's why I want Robinson as our 6th man.

Re: Toronto Raptors

My prediction is that the Raptors bring back Jose to run the 2nd unit (again). If Colangelo is brought back and Casey stays I can really see this happening. They really don't have any cap space to make any moves other than the MLE. So a player would have to "want" to come and take a bit of pay cut. The only guy I see doing that for the Raptors is Jose.

With the current roster we have right now, assuming nobody is released or traded or anything, we'd have 10 roster spaces taken up, with about 5M left to spend. So ya, it'd take a huge salary cut in order to fill those 2 roster spaces if the 2 guys we get, are gonna be guys who actually play.

Which is sorta why I don't want BC back. Cause he WON'T get rid of Bargnani or Fields cause he doesn't wanna admit his mistakes. Look at the Leafs. Burke didn't wanna get rid of Lombardi,Connolly,Komi(all guys who didn't play great, and got paid 4M+ each) cause he didn't wanna admit his mistakes. But Nonis did and now Leafs in playoffs and have more cap space going into the offseason, than majority of the league!

Regardless if it's Phil Jackson or not who takes over as GM or something, with the new hiring MLSE did, I think there's much better shot now of MLSE making a good hiring decision than if one was made several months ago.

The worst case scenario for this offseason is that Gray and Kleiza pick up their player options and Raptors have no room(and over luxury level).

Best scenario is both guys don't pick up options(hopefully Raptors can convince them to not pick it up,cause neither guy will be playing at all this season), amnesty Bargnani, and get rid of Fields.

Re: Toronto Raptors

Fields wasn't a big mistake. He's a really solid rebounder who makes great passes, and if he regains his shot, he'll be a high quality piece for us off the bench imo.

Re: Toronto Raptors

Great passer? He's 40th in the NBA of all SF in assist-turnover ratio. And not even top 50 of all SF in free throw %.

His FG% and rebounds aren't that bad, but seems like alot of other bad areas. For a guy we're paying over 6M for...seems like he's not worth it at all.

He's a good passer but I'd assume most of his turnovers are ball handling related.

It's not a good contract but it's not a huge mistake.

Re: Toronto Raptors

BC having his meeting with the board tomorrow, so hopefully an official decision comes by Wednesday or something.Because it's sucking to see a team like the Nets, the day after being eliminated, fire their coach and lots of rumors starting about who they're gonna bring in, and Raptors (whose season ended weeks ago) don't even know if they're bringing back their GM yet...
