There's a few tutorials on youtube as well as this one on footballidiot: https://www.footballidiot.com/forum/...hp?f=90&t=1031

Thanks for the info! I managed to mod the uniforms with texmod but I couldn't get the new textures to remain for more than a couple plays. It seems like the memory locations kept changing? And yeah, having to use dx9 is definitely a bummer with that.

I couldn't get uniforms to work at all, I kept getting weird glitches with text in game and solid white blocks. You're probably more familiar with textures than I though. Lol.

Super quick and ugly example of texmod uniform modding (changed helmet, I know, I know, it's ugly, and added the gold pants from the away uniform to the home).

Spoiler

Well I got the itch to mess around with texmod again. I used TruTurf's ncaa templates, I had to basically remove most of the preset lines etc, because it was conflicting with the fields causing a weird white blurry mark whatever you would call it, as you can see on one of the screenshots.

My only issue with DX, messing around with the settings, is that it causes the players names to blur/stretch on the jersey's. It happens when I use filter texturing. If anyone could solve that issue for me, that'd be great. If I turn it off it makes the games textures look jagged. If I turn "allow 8bit textures" it removes that issue, but I can't use texmod with it.

Hmm, I've tried this but when I open the the BALSUS file I'm getting an "unhandled exception" error. Do you know what causes this?

Re: [Guide] Modding, Editing, and Porting PSP & PS2 NCAA

Not super useful info, but I've discovered that it's possible to swap FCS teams with FBS teams in an existing dynasty. Just do the swaps as normal but also change TTYP (or something similar to that) to 0 if the team is now FBS, 1 if they are now FCS, or 6 if they are now.. fantasy?

First, I tried mid-season (out of curiosity), and it actually seemed to work and I was able to play the team's games even though the team had an empty roster. In-game every player was #0 and all appeared to just be generic. I think I messed something up with the Schedule when I set it, as some games wouldn't sim.

Adding the FCS teams in the offseason seems to work perfectly, I think I need to do something with the COACH table as well, since the coach of the team I swapped out still displays in the Coach Strategy/Philosophy screen but I haven't seen any side effects yet after simming through a year.

EDIT: Also, the whole roster is populated with walkons/recruits/transfers in the offseason so you no longer have the issue of no players. Makes for a very challenging season since most the players are <60 overall

My idea of guides will include:
1) Opening rosters and making small changes
2) Porting PS2 <--> PSP
3) Knowledge Transfer of Key things for modding/editing
4) Porting PS3 --> PS2 + PSP
5) Other Mods

Tools Required:

Tool depending on console format
  • PS2 Save using ActionReplay/GameShark etc. (PS2 only)
  • PSP with custom firmware and savedeemer plugin (deemerh.prx) (PSP only)
  • MyMC for PCSX2
  • ENCRYPT SAVE flagged to FALSE for PPSSPP
Madden DB Editor v3
Excel or another spreadsheet editor

PSP Info: The deemerh plugin creates the SAVEPLAIN folder and within the folder, an unencrypted copy of your save. This allows it to be edited. You can then edit these files (SDDATA.BIN). When you load a save within a game, and the plugin active, the game will look for matching files in saveplain first, before going to the standard SAVEDATA folder, so you only need to edit off of saveplain (as long as files of any date are present in savedata)

Alternatively, if you use PPSSPP, you can disable encrypt saves in the ppsspp.ini file. This will generate a data.bin that's not encrypted for editing. If you want to share the file later, you need to enable the flag again and save.

Some of these files can be found by google search, or on my website linked below.

I know this is for play station, but I heard someone Port rosters from ps2 to Xbox. Is this possible?

Mori didn't you update the definitions? If so, do you have the .def file?

Late edit: When you get the free time, do you think it would be possible to Port ps2 rosters to Ncaa 12-14?
