Re: [Guide] Modding, Editing, and Porting PSP & PS2 NCAA

Sorry for the triple post, but almost figured out numbers now. Having issues with 8 & 9 specifically though. The numbers texture only includes 1-7 from what I see. Though I do see another texture with just 8 & 9. But it seems like that texture doesn't do anything, as 8 just pulls from the left side of the number texture, and 9 the right. Once I get this ironed out I think we'll be able to mod just about anything on uniforms.

EDIT
Talked to the person who created the functionality and it sounds like at the moment this is a limitation of the way textures are being dumped. So we're going to have to make due without number modifications. I wish I understood C++ better, maybe some weekend I'll have to take a look at the pull request. But it doesn't seem doable at the moment unless the algorithm for dumping textures is changed.

Can't seem to find jerseys in the dump. Helmets, pants, and logos are there though.

Oh wait found it! You just have to load alpha channel in photoshop!
oh shiiii. It dumps the textures for you? Can't wait to dabble with this.

This looks to be exclusively for an emulator?

Could you guide me on how to find the jersey textures, if you found them?

Sure! If you have the right version of PCSX2 installed (and really, I think you only need the GSDX plugin), you just have to go into your video plugin settings and change Texture Manipulation and set it to Dump Textures.

Then you should be able to just run NCAA 06, and it'll dump textures into a /textures/gameid folder in your PCSX2 directory. From there I really just opened up as many as I could to find the jerseys. I had to check 'load alpha channel' or something when opening the file in photoshop. Oh! And you'll need a DDS plugin, I used one from here:
https://software.intel.com/content/w...ks-plugin.html

And make sure you save the files without compression. Let me know if you have any questions on that!

I’m curious—and my apologies if you’ve already answered this—are the conference patches on the jerseys when you pull them into photoshop? I thought I remember them not being there, which means they are in fact dynamic and there should be a location in the editor.

They are not on the jerseys so they do appear to be dynamic somehow. So you can easily modify them as well as jerseys if you're emulating the game.
