The CPU gets a pass rush if they blitz and you aren't ready for it. I dunno if a CPU Dlineman has ever sacked me; it's been LBers and the occassional corner. Actually I take that back. Sometimes when I call rollouts a lineman will get to me as he comes off his blocker. The CPU AWR slider is really the last hope. I agree. I just hope that by bumping that up that it wont make a normal passing game too hard.

Again it's not like you cant get a good game with the initial sliders that I posted. If you call a realistic game you'll most likely get honest stats. It's just that in the back of my mind when I am playing I know that I can tell Ginn to run 50 yards downfield and that I have a fair shot at completing it if I spread out the defense. I'll mess with the AWR slider.

I'm making it a rule in my game to throw one deep pass for every deep pass the CPU throws. The CPU has an even easier time than the human player at completing 50+ yard passes (I don't control my DBs if you are wondering).

Bill I saw on the MM forum some of them saying your awr slider is too low. I think that may be the problem.

Bill, try this...

I'm testing this out which I said I wasn't going to do but the deep pass does kill the game. However I think I have found the issue. The WRs have THE SPEED CHEAT this year. They are the ones that go flying around like rockets. If you never take control of your WR this is really evident. AF WR and TEs seem to have catch up speed that allow them to be easy targets for the bomb.

So as simple as it sounds on deep passes take control of the WR and do not sprint. You will still have a chance to catch the ball in stride if you make a great throw. What should be a 50/50 chance that turns into a high percentage play, now reverts back to making a spectacular pass and catch.

Re: Bill's Heisman Sliders and House Rules

I am playing with Bill's sliders on Heisman lvl in a dynasty game. Texas A&M vs Clemson. Both teams have very highly rated QBs and the sliders are doing OK. There is nothing you can do about the deep ball. The CPU can throw it and will complete the pass most of the time. However, its a heck of alot better than playing on AA. It might not be as bad when I play an Ave. QB. In the 1st Qtr with Bill's heisman sliders, the QB went deep 4 times. 1 TD, 1 long completion and 2 knockdowns. The thing is that the CPU goes for the bomb more that I recall in 2005.

Last night I played the same game on AA with no slider adjustments and the score was 80-56 with both QB getting over 450 yds passing. Most of the CPUs TDs came from the bomb. Nothing you can do to stop it.

If you have a scrambling QB (Like Texas A&M-Reggie McNeal), the option is just about impossible for the CPU to stop on AA. One "money" type play I have found with a scrambling QB is to roll him out right or left and hit the WR cutting to the sidelines. Play Action roll outs--right or left can be deadly to the CPU team. The WR is open most of the time for a deep pass.

The fact is that you are going to have to play on the Heisman level with some type of adjustments to make it realistic. Finding the right level is the challenge.

However, dont try the "Spring Drills" on Heisman. You can't even make the hand off to run the ball before the CPU is in the backfield for a tackle. I dont think "sliders" work when you are doing Spring Drills, so you get the default sliders for each level.

I totally agree about the speed boost. Part of the problem is that the QB lays the ball in perfectly almost every play, regardless of that QB Acc slider. So the ball is either caught, dropped, or swatted away by a leaping DB. A lot of passes that far down the field should just flat out miss the mark.

I've never been a "take over the WR" player but it's worth looking into. I don't want to mess with that AWR slider if I can help it because I like the short/mediunm pass game right now.

Let me know how that game turns out, Wallace. I totally agree about AA lvl. It's pretty much unplayable IMO.
