Re: How is your dynasty going

Can't wait to come back home from school and get back on track with my Iowa dynasty. It has been too long with school and finals and I miss playing my dynasty. Hopefully we can beat Michigan State in our biggest game yet.

So with that in mind it is logical to say that military academies would never truly be in the running for a national championship as they are far less talented. Sure they may string together a couple good seasons, but I would put money down that in the next century a military academy doesn't sniff a national championship or playoff bid

Anyway, that was quite the explanation but that is my reasoning why you should move on. Too unrealistic to me, to the point where I go out of my way to ensure none of them become powerhouses in my dynasties
Well that obligation can get knocked down if the person is a really good athlete.

"That program for service members is called the Alternative Service Option."

"The policy directs that personnel must have served on active duty for at least 24 months of their five-year commitment before being eligible to petition for release from active duty to pursue professional sports, "

I do agree I don't see the service academies becoming powerhouses anytime soon but it's not really because of the service obligation after graduation. A lot of college football legends don't even make it or have success in the NFL. (ex. Ken Dorsey, Kellen Moore, Graham Harrell, Pat White, Jason White, etc) What makes it hard for the service academies is the recruiting restrictions. They can't recruit the 6'6 340 pound linemen due to the weight/height restrictions of the military. This leaves the service academies extremely undersized in the trenches on both sides of the ball compared to other teams. Other restrictions include very strict academics, no red shirting etc.

The one advantage the service academies have is they can sit down with a kid and they can straight up say there is life after football, what do you want out of the next 4 years? Being a football player at some random small school like Georgia State and graduate with no guarantee of a job? Or you can join the service academy, grow as a leader, learn discipline, and graduate with a GUARANTEED job right after college serving your country and a job that is respected greatly by employers everywhere. Service in the military as an officer and a degree from a service academy is well respected.

Its super easy to recruit at Navy in the game IMO. When I was an OC there in one of my dynasties there were always a bunch of 4* players that had us in their top 3 to start with. I took to letting the CPU recruit because otherwise it was too easy to load up on talent there.

After signing new HC Nick Franks, the Georgia Bulldogs have slowly built their way into the #1 spot in the nation. On an undefeated roll, the Dogs have dropped to #2, but hope to reclaim the #1 spot in a neutral site game against the #9 Florida Gators.

2013 University of Georgia Schedule:

(Rankings from Week 11)

at Clemson Tigers (5-4): Win
vs South Carolina (6-3): Win
BYE
at #5 Ohio State (8-1): Win
vs LSU (4-5): Win
at Tennessee (5-4): Win
vs Missouri (3-6): Win
at Vanderbilt (4-4): Win
BYE

at #23 Notre Dame (6-3): Unplayed [NATIONAL BROADCAST GAME)
at #18 Auburn (7-2): Unplayed
vs Kentucky (3-5): Unplayed
vs #15 Stanford (6-2): Unplayed
BYE

Bulldogs' Record: 8-0 (6-0 Conference)
Schedule Combined Record: 63-41

THE WEEK AFTER:
The Dawgs reclaim their #1 spot and are planning to enter the BCS Championship if they finish strong, several top teams remain on their schedule so the road to the top won't be easy.

It's because they run the option. Change any teams playbook to the option playbook and you will see the same thing.

After working so hard throughout their season, the Georgia Bulldogs fall short in 2OT. Notre Dame was not going to allow another loss at home, and they stood their ground, winning 41-37.

As the Dawgs drop to #6, they move on to their next opponent, leaving behind a loss that still burns. Their new focus is on the Auburn Tigers.

Re: How is your dynasty going

Well, after winning 3 BCS Championships in a row at Duke we started the 2025 season playing at Michigan.. Now.. The previous season, we had 4 Fumbles all season, the QB who started last year, and this year for that matter, and the starting HB fumbled 3 times all year..
We had 7 turnovers!! 4 picks, 1 was a perfectly thrown ball that the WR literally drops, no contact at all! And the LB slides and catches it! Another was my WR's running into each other on a slant the ball bouncing off them and getting picked.. The other 2 were normal though on 1 I guess Michigan had the LeBron because he jumped a mile up..
Now for the 3 fumbles.. The first came on a sack, it happens.. It happens on our side of the field so it hurt.. The 2nd one came at the end, after the INT's my HB who has never fumbled, fumbled, and at this time we had come back from 41-17 down to 44-38, with roughly 2 minutes left, they still don't score and we get it back, 1st down incomplete pass, then on 2nd down on a QB run, my QB is running out of bounds when he gets hit, fumbles AGAIN! and the ball bounces off of my own player and they get it.. The biggest BS game,. The QB is a scrambler with a 94 rating, the HB is a 97..
