Re: Slider Discussion.

I think the dropped int thing is more a function of the cpu generating an incomplete pass rather than lack of ability from the defensive players. Since this is a sim there is all sorts of calculations going on when you run a play. There are probably stock sequences that the game goes through even when the game has already decided that the result of your play is "incomplete." Does that make any sense? Basically what I'm trying to say is that the result of your play has already been determined by the cpu before the play is actually shown on the field. They probably just didn't do enough "incomplete" animations or sequences or whatever you call it, so instead the ball just bounces off of defenders a lot. If there is low interceptions it's probably based on their int algorithm not being high enough and not because the DB's suck at catching. Really, this game is just like a spreadsheet style text game; it just has a graphical interface to represent your plays.

Yeah I haven't changed it. This was looked like he was throwing to this DB. Just right at him in the numbers. Dre Woodson is knocking on that door Alexa!

Re: Slider Discussion.

I like the game but I cant shake the feeling that there is something missing when it comes to the passing game. In the first half against Grossman, he went 12/15 for 114 Yards 1 TD, 0 INT so thats a fantastic stat line for such a garbage QB playing in 20mph winds. I made the changes to the sliders that I quoted above and so far in the second half Kyle Orton is 3/5 for 60 Yards 0-0 TD-INT ratio. Ive dropped one clear pick that I mentioned previously but that doesnt bother me considering the specifics of that play.

Like I said, I enjoy the game for the most part, I just dont want to see the CPU keep picking me apart while my entire secondary drops picks right and left, same for the CPU, when Alex Smith throws an out late and a guy is right there I dont want to see him constantly get away with it, its going to end up inflating his season ending stats and therefor he may progress in situations where he shouldnt, imo.

Re: Slider Discussion.

Has anyone figured out if the sliders affect the supersim stats yet?

Both playing with the Niners...and we both live in Oregon. Odd. Anyways my final stats ended up being

Smith - 31/42 347yards 2tds 2ints Martz Ball Baby!...*cough*
Gore - 17 carries 17 yards...The run playbook for Martz blows
Battle - 11 catches 137 yards

Warner - 14/23 185yards 0tds/0ints
Edge - 12 att 28 yards...Yikes
Patrick - 4 rec 84 yards. Fitz is hurt

I'm going to jump online to get my achievement lol

Tell me about it, the offensive playbook is terrible, there is no real nickle package at all, and Martz never wants to run Gore but the moment Robinson gets in there during the preseason suddenly he wants to run him.

By the way, did I mention how I hate the "Changing Moments" crap or whatever its called? Seven minutes left, in the preseason down 23-15 and my team expects me to onside kick it, yet there is seven freaking minutes left, what the hell?!?!? As Im typing this we got the ball back with 4:18 left as it is, now why would I onside kick it with that much time left? If any of my players thought it was a good idea then they shouldnt be on the team anymore.

Re: Slider Discussion.

I have been following this thread and I am just wondering how many of you are starting at the draft or just coaching now as compared to playing a started coach in the pre-season and such.

The reason I ask is that I started my own coach, in the pre-season with the Giants. I am seeing all the penalties, even pass interference 2 in 4 preseason games. I have seen a good spread between picks and fumbles and an average of 2.6 TO's a game on each side.

I have been seeing good stats all the way around. The reason I ask the above issues is they may have tuned the game to the "full" experience and thus you may not see the stats with a great coach or without some unlearned plays and all that.

The only thing that I have noticed in my case is a huge amount of injuries that are season ending in the pre-season. This I feel might be an issue but I think that is for another thread.

Re: Slider Discussion.

Im using a created coach as the Niners so that cant be it in my case atleast.

I finished that Bears game, and after changing the sliders the CPU's run game seemed to be really good, granted it was against my backups but still, Forte finished with 177 yards on 30 carries and broke some nice looking tackles at times, it was nice to see.

Now in terms of passing, Orton went 8/11 (72%) and Hill for me went 20/34 (58%). Its tough to gauge stats when its backups playing defense but I figured I would give some feedback anyways. So far Im liking what Im seeing for the most part, unfortunatly there are still times where my QB sits in the pocket for an eternity with no pressure, over and under throws are better now, didnt see too many INT chances so I cant say anything there either. Will provide more feedback once I get some stats from a game against their first team defense.

Lastly, I lost the game 36-30 in OT, 418 yards of total offense for Chicago seems high but again with backups playing the entire second half its tough to tell how things would have played out.
