They will reveal a Saints Row Reboot on 8/25 during ONL. I guess the recent Saints Row remaster did well enough so they're rebooting the series. I didn't play Saints Row 4. But hoping they can strike a good balance between Saints Row 2 and 3. Where they can keep the wacky over the top theme they had in Saints Row 3, but also stay grounded like in Saints Row 2.

The claim is coming from a Call of Duty "insider". I'll wait to see it actually announced first.

Fingers crossed it goes back to the tone of Saints Row 1 and 2.

Finally something! I just want it to be more like 2 with the map and NPCs much more interesting than 3/4.

I've seen very interesting NPC behavior in 2, things that you see for the first time. And the map was amazing. The new game needs to at least match these standards.

I do agree that I want it more like 2. With it being a potential reboot, they aren't tied down to any specific previous theme. Not sure if they would want to keep the wacky identity to stand out. Thinking back, I don't think I played either 3 or 4. I was never into the wacky over the top games. .

I think they could go back to a Saints Row 2 theme. With GTA VI probably 4 years away and no other similar games, it's not like they are competing with another similar style game like how it was in the PS2-PS3 era

I tolerated Saints Row 3, but knowing that's what tipped them over the edge into Saints Row 4 is the vice that it lives with.

I'd rather see them go back to the SR 1+2 roots.
