Re: CPU vs CPU

I can write a longer reply later if you want, but if you have a good set of sliders in place for CPU/CPU play, then I find it fun to just sick back and play that role of general manager. You have to get yourself invested in those players though. It helps to tweak with injury and fatigue sliders in games that allow it. That will allow those players at position of depth a chance to play every so often.

I am doing an APF 2K8 season mode right now, and although I am playing it, I have been playing only one or two games at most a week. I can't advance too quickly or it is hard for me to become too attached to my players [both positively and negatively]

Haha I went from cpu vs cpu to straight up text sims. Needless to say, I am less stressed out these days

Oh and yes, those Snes/Sega days were the glory days in cpu vs cpu lol. Bill Walsh was probably my first game I did it with. I never played Tecmo basketball before I have a ton of roms in my mac that I dont use so maybe I can try and find that game somewhere.

I also had some good times playing cpu vs cpu with Tecmo Bowl for PS1.

I'm back and forth between coach mode and CPU vs CPU but either way, my stress level has been drastically reduced since abandoning being a joystick jockey!

Re: CPU vs CPU

I am with you guys all the way. I stopped playing about 2-3 hrs ago in favor of the cpu v cpu and I love it. Less stress for sure. A couple things pushed me this direction. I wanted to see the players play to their attributes, not mine combined with theirs. The other thing was the great camera angles you can watch while using cpu v cpu. My goal this year is to run college and pro together and watching rookies come in from NCAA to madden. So far college is awesome to watch. I actually will start learning the players in college football from watching all the big games. Keep on rockin the cpu v cpu
