Yeah, this is just...

I feel bad for the eventual World Series winner this year, because everyone will know they're not the real champs.

MLB should go back to best AL team vs. best NL team.

To be fair, Phillies had a Nationals feel to them. They started what 22-29 but we thought they were better than that.

San Diego with who was added at the deadline was thought to be a favorite. The guys have struggled but they were always going to be dangerous in playoffs, was just a matter of getting there.

The Dodgers, Mets, and potentially Yankees getting bounced early should make for a fun off season. Judge may end up getting a billion dollars

They have the starting and relief pitching to cause Philly bats to have issues and they have Babe Ruth Grisham.....I'm counting on you!

Way to go San Diego

if anything though high payroll is proving it doesn't always work even if it gets you 100 wins. the Guardians what they are doing is incredible they are the new Moneyball As of 20 years ago, and they might just beat the yankees which the As couldn't do

The Phillies and Padres have top five payrolls, the Astros are number nine and 9 of the top 12 payrolls made the playoffs. Cleveland is the exception, you need to spend to win

Yeah but the Phillies just went and bought a bunch of DHs it was other things they didn't expect to go better then it did.

Padres yep you are right there. the Astros really built their own team from tanking for 5 years.
