I've always enjoyed baseball's regular season more than the rest because winning a division title and making the playoffs was a meaningful accomplishment - it should be more meaningful than other leagues' regular seasons because of 162 games. I don't like division winners being forced to play a best-of-3. In short, I think top MLB regular season teams should get more of an advantage than they do now (reduce the luck factor) and top NBA regular season teams should get much more of a disadvantage than they do now (increase the luck factor).

I wouldn’t say “luck” I’d say randomness bad teams beat good teams all the time in baseball.

It is a knee jerk reaction sport the Phillies fired their manager back in May!

I want chaos, worried about the days off affecting the highest seeds? Just have them play two games with their "nemesis" i.e. the team with the worst regular season record that won their season series against them. As an added incentive, if the nemesis wins both games, they take the highest seeds' playoff spot.

But it’s only one division winner that plays a best of 3 and it’s the division winner with tge worst record therefore adding meaning to the regular season.

Again we are searching for a definitive solution to a fabricated problem.

I’d like to see them keep the seven game format for the LCS this year where there is only one off day so that teams have to use their full rotation
