Well with the changed pitching matchups if Cleveland can take 1 in Fenway, I really like their chances of moving to the World Series. I think Boston is making a big mistake pitching Dice K on the road in his first ever post season. At home I would have given him a chance but if the Tribe win 1 in Boston, pitching a rookie on the road down 0-2 or tied 1-1, may add too much pressure for him to face. I really think Boston should leave Schil for game 3 since his big game resume is endless. So depending on how this all plays out, I am already second guessing Francona.

The rotations have not yet been finalized. Schilling may or may not be the Game 2 starter. I assume they are also considering throwing Beckett on short rest in Game 4 if they are down 2-1. They wouldn't announce this, but it is a possibility.

I think from the Red Sox side of things, just about the only thing we can count on is Beckett going in Game 1, and that's about it for now.

I also think they want to line up one of Beckett or Schilling in Games 6 and 7. So, I would expect to see that as well.

^Tito said in his press conference today that Schilling was going in game 2.

Interesting note is, Beckett could pitch game 4 on 3 days rest and game 7 on normal rest

Yeah I just saw that, my bad. Oh well. I think these guys know what they are doing. I'm not going to second guess, as I know Theo, et al have probably looked at 1000 scenarios and based their decisions off those discussions.

Schilling pitching Game 2 vs Carmona is an extremely intelligent move by Francona, IMO.

Dice-K's ERA is almost a full run lower on the road this year. For some reason he just seems to struggle at Fenway. I think this move is a no-brainer and was surprised they didn't use this order in the ALDS.

Prolly because it's a hitter's paradise.
