Ranger's Farm System Second To None

^Is from Jan '09. Yanks were ranked 15th according to organizational prospects.

Don't know who they got in the past amatuer draft, and of course if they get Aroldis than they'd be looking very good down on the farm. Regardless, my post about the Yanks farm system was made with this blog and info from it in mind.

Now maybe things have changed for the better over the course of the minor league system. Maybe some guys have bubbled to the top from the Yanks organization? I don't know...you tell me. Otherwise I'm just going to go on what was written here, and assume that the Yankees don't have a package of prospects to send to Toronto for the #1/2/3(?) best pitcher in the league.

Yankees have the best prospect in baseball at this point. If they want to get into the Roy Halladay fracas, they will.

BA doesn't even send out scouts to games anymore. They are a useless organization.

What? JP Ricciardi has taken over BA?

He notoriously cut the Jays scouting department to ribbons.

I was unaware that the Yankees acquired Jason Heyward, Buster Posey, and Brian Matusz...what a coup for them.

Montero is a superior prospect to all of them.
