Dodgers over spend for Brandon League. 3 years...for a reliever...never learned anything from the Guerrier deal.

Yeah, not the greatest signing but he could do pretty good in the NL.

As much as I would love to add Hamilton... I just don't see it

But Braun/Hamilton might be a better combo then Cabrera/Fielder!

Some people up here would love to see Hamilton in Toronto but I don't see it happening. I kinda feel like Hamilton is a slightly risky proposition considering his swoon late last year. He only hit .245 in the last couple months of the year and his production was pretty poor.

Still, I see him getting a massive contract.

yeah, but he'll still be that 280-310 avg, 30-40 Hr, and 90-120 Rbi guy. I really don't see Hamilton in texas next year, and if he goes to Milwaukee he'll still play in a hitting park which will still help him.

Rafael Soriano will opt out of his contract with the Yankees and elect free agency today, Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com reports.

The Angels are aggressively trying to trade starters Dan Haren and Ervin Santana, Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports reports

He did okay at the end of last year. Became the closer when Jansen went out.

Also, according to MLBTR, the Dodgers are going to go after James Shields.

Re: 2012-13 Hot Stove League Thread

From the managerial search files: Sandy Alomar is now off the Jays manager candidates list as he's sticking around in Cleveland to be Francona's bench coach, can't really blame him on that one.

What do the Dodgers have that the Rays need? They don't really match up well IMO.
