It would be so cool if Rick started pitching again. Even if all he does is a couple of Spring Training starts, I feel like he could walk away from the game without any doubts then. That would be fun to watch.

Re: 2012-13 Hot Stove League Thread

I was hoping the Jays could get Santana though trying to rehab himself to what he used to be in the AL East isn't a recipe for success.

Jays declined the option on Rajai Davis then promptly signed him to a one year deal while they exercised the option on Darren Oliver.

I wonder why Rafael Soriano does not want to stay with the Yankees.

Mike Redmond officially named the Marlins new manager.

Cool, I guess?

He's been managing in the low minors for the Jays and i've heard good things about him. He does have a history in Miami as he played for the Marlins and was a very good team player. He'll definitely be a lot less controversial as Ozzie was.

He only had one year left on his deal and if Rivera comes back he won't be closing for them.

Coming off a 42 save season hes smart to opt out and test the market, he'll likely get more years and his value is higher coming off a good year as closer than if he lets that last year play out and hes just a setup man.
