No, it'll most likely be Lester as he'd be on normal rest.

I'd imagine

G1: Lester vs Kluber
G2: Arrieta vs Tomlin/Bauer (depending on drone hand)
G3: Hendricks (pushed to #3 to not go on short rest) vs Bauer/Tomlin (depending on drone hand)
G4: Lackey vs Bauer/Merritt/Kluber (depending on how things are going)

Danny Salazar is the Indians' wild card and Kyle Schwarber is the Cubs'.

So do you think if the Cubs lose this series, especially if home teams hold serve, that baseball will take another look at the AS game determining home field? This year you have a team with 10ish less wins getting the home field advantage (which, let's face it, in baseball can be a distinct advantage over all other sports).

Either team winning is fine with me, but I'm rooting Cubs and then hoping the baseball gods return the favor next year.

I hope so. To me, it's a dumb rule no matter the outcome of the World Series. There's just no logical basis for this rule and it undercuts the accomplishments that teams are working toward all season based on a single exhibition game between hastily-cobbled-together teams.

On the other hand, I don't see home field as providing the same level of advantage that it plays in football and basketball. Sure, you get to bat last, but it's so much less about physical energy and effort level in baseball and more about mechanics and things the crowd doesn't necessarily influence.

My objection to the rule is more about getting fans of the better team more chances to see their team and just the nonsensical nature of the rule itself.

Just to be clear I wasn't being 100% serious hence the Whenever any of the other Toronto sports teams does well I end up seeing a whole bunch of players from the other teams putting stuff up on Social Media. I bet half of em don't even watch/care for the other Toronto team .

Just go back to alternating home field between the leagues. Pretty simple or maybe just give home field to the team that has the better record.

If I'm not mistaken, the reason we know he's a Yankees fan is because he showed up to a Yankees Indians playoff game in Cleveland, and wore a Yankee hat, pointing at it when they put the camera on him.

I'm with those against ASG deciding home field, Cubs should have this, but I'm glad it worked out this way because I predict it'll be over in 5 and with the stupid 2-3-2 layout, that'll be in Chicago if I'm right.
