My god, Steve Phillips mentioned on MLB network radio about the Mets signing Springer, Realmuto and trading for Lindor... And also getting involved in the Bauer bidding.

Would be incredible if they can pull this off.

I could see Realmuto and Lindor but I really think Springer is going home to Boston.

In seriousness they have some depth in their farm system they could part with if the mentality becomes win now.

How reliable is Steve Phillips? I know he's also an analyst for the one sports network in Canada which doesn't carry the Jays (since their rivals owns the Jays), but to me he always came off as a guy who got an analyst role moreso because of his history and not because he's actually good at it.

One of the rumors is that they would trade Amed Rosario in the deal to get Lindor. I really dont see Baty as part of any deal, seeing as hes the only 3b in the system with any promise. Gimenez will likely be the starting 2b if they trade for Lindor.

That wouldn't surprise me.

I'm still going back and forth on if I'd want him, especially at the likely price.

On field he'd be great. Off field, too much baggage.

If Jays management didn't like Stroman off the field, they'd hate Bauer.

I'd rather just go with Paxton and Walker for the money it'd probably cost for Bauer.
