Makes it seem like they're suffering out there when they're not lol, especially when he's only been in the league for like 5-6 years lol.

And the driving up of the price begins SMH:

Quote:
According to the Edmonton Sun, the Toronto Raptors are aggressively pursuing free agents Nene, Marc Gasol, and Tyson Chandler.
The Raptors are seeking front court help after finishing in 10th last in the league last season in team rebounds.
Nene, 29, has spent his entire nine-year career with the Denver Nuggets, averaging 12.3 points per game and 6.9 rebounds per game. He was originally drafted as the seventh-overall pick by the New York Knick

God i hope the Nets aren't stupid and overpay Nene, or Tyson Chandler for that matter.

You gotta wonder what guys like James Worthy, Pip, Bird Magic MJ and the others thing when a guy averaging 12ppg gets offered like 75 million + and they pumped out blood sweat and tears for 800,000 a year at one point

Anyway, I dont know if NO will rid themselves of Okafor when David West is leaving which would basically put them at zero big men realistically

I follow.

Just been thinking,

Quote:
ESPNSteinLine Marc Stein
A growing number of execs starting to believe that Magic will indeed give strong consideration to doing Dwight deal before season starts
If Magic are prepared to do something sudden, it's fairly smart. They'll get the first pick between the trade pickings (Offerings for CP3, DWILL, and others who may be available through packages and such. Lots of chatter in NBA right now). The hitch will be that Dwight Howard will have to sign off on an Extend and Trade. So the obvious first thing is Lakers offering something centered around Bynum, we all know this. But with Arenas' contract likely getting the amnesty axe, the trade value in letting another team absorb Arenas is softened.

Or is it? They could let a team absorb Arenas, and amnesty Hedo Turkoglu and instantly have cleared cap space beautifully.

Lakers would love to offer up Bynum and some other offering, but that may not be the best package. The other package that we can legitimately consider is Brook Lopez + Two(Correct me if wrong here) First Rounders. Deron Williams has made it clear - he will not be staying with New Jersey. The Nets thought they went all in and they lost. But what do they have to lose at this point? That's the new found out. Take Dwight as an expiring, pair him with Deron Williams, and see if they can resist. Build a few commodities around them to have a solid roster. Can't really see a way they don't have a crazy year in the East with those two together, especially with the media circus (here's your coverage Dwight, are you ready to open Barclays in Brooklyn?), and the circumstances. And if they lose? They can rebuild on a clean slate.

Just thoughts.

Deron has never said he's not staying in NJ, don't let those talking heads on TV tell you that.

And if I'm Duhwight, I go the same route Deron did, regardless of where he goes in that I don't resign with that team and opt out in July so I can get a much better deal then compared to what I'd be getting now.

Re: Official POST-LOCKOUT Player Movement Thread (Trades, FAs, etc)

I want Dwight to go to New Jersey just so that he doesn't go to the Fake Show. It would also be nice to see a lower team like New Jersey/Brooklyn become somewhat of a powerhouse.
