Yeah, I don't see it happening. Similar to what you said with OKC/Adams, I don't believe NO has an interest in a return where CJ is the prize. You're better off rebuilding.

People are weird, man.
And 75% of it is probably by non-Knick fans.

If Davis is gonna stay in LA then I'd do it. Obviously NBA is a superstar league, so if you have a chance to get a starting lineup containing 2 of the top guys in the league, who cares about depth?

Go into offseason with:
C-Davis
PF-LeBron
SF-Ingram
SG-Hart
PG-

And around 83M or so in salaries. You can add a good starting PG in free agency.

Re: 2018-19 Transaction Thread

I think the Pel's best bet is to wait until the offseason. They should have more options then, plus they will know where each teams draft picks are.

The Lakers offer is decent but I'd prefer a Top pick, a young player and filler from a team like Chicago or Phoenix instead. The gamble in that is if AD let's it be known that he will only re-sign in L.A. then the Pel's lose a lot of leverage so it's risky.

If I'm a Lakers fan I'm not sure I would want them trading all 4 for just AD either though. Not sure any player in the league is really worth 4 starting level players especially if you're looking down the line. Different circumstance with them having LeBron, but without another top 5ish player like that I'm not sure AD has even proven he elevates a team to the equivalent of 4 players. He's a top 5 talent for sure, but how much does he raise your teams ceiling? Like I said, with another top 5 player there it's different, but if the Lakers hypothetically didn't have LeBron I don't think they would make that trade.

Yup and the usual talking heads as well.

And with any deal involving the Knicks, the first thing they mentioned is “He can play in the Garden!”
