Rumors are Derek Carr trade to New Orleans? If NO can manage to acquire Carr's cap hit and still field a full roster next year, I will never believe in the salary cap ever again. They are 60 million over and have near the lowest cap flexibility in the league.

For about a week or so, it didn't feel like Gannon wasn't leaving. He even said that he was staying last week. But, that was before this report. Out of the two, I was certain Gannon would get a job. I guess Gannon has NFL clout, since he's got hired as a DC there were already talks about him becoming a HC. I want to believe he could have gotten the Texans job last year. I felt the Lovie Smith hire was because of the Flores lawsuit.

I do think Gannon has a legit shot at the Cards job. I think Kafka is a year or two away, or a good Daniel Jones year. I also think Gannon has more national buzz than Anarumo, but I think Anarumo is the better defensive game planner. Cardinals do have some pieces on defense to work with.

It would suck to potentially lose both coordinators, but I think it is known who the in-house candidates would be. Brian Johnson(QB Coach) who has OC interviews set up for multiple teams. Denard Wilson(DB coach) would seem to be the natural replacement

Carr has reportedly told the Raiders he won't approve any trade, forcing his release in the next couple of days before $40m+ of his salary becomes guaranteed.
