Even against a bad team a 3rd or 4th string QB is not probably going
to win. Unless that team has a big lead.

That game was hard to watch with no threat of a pass longer
than 2 yards.

Re: 2023 Offseason Thread

If they do require a 3rd QB with no game day impact. We might see
more teams finding a Taysom Hill type read option QB.

I think Denver last year had the same problem. All their QB's
were hurt and had to use a WR. Regular season..

No that was a Covid thing 2 years ago. All three quarterbacks were exposed and deemed ineligible just a few days before the game.

They elected against signing a QB who didn’t know the playbook and went with a WR from the practice squad who played QB in college because he knew the playbook. Their emergency QB that year was Royce Freeman (RB) I believe.

This has been tossed out for the last couple weeks, yeah. I don't think there's any real rumor to it, just part of the noise and people throwing out scenarios to fill time until the draft. I also think it'd be a stupid idea, but that's just me.

Not that I'm sold on Fields as THE guy, but the team has way bigger holes right now than a QB who might not pan out. Fill those first, then if Fields ends up not being the guy you at least have a better team around whatever QB you plug in there later.

Hiring a Schottenheimer always leads to playoff success and Super Bowl wins. Book it. 🫠

Looks like Brian Flores, Lou Anarumo, and Mike Kafka are finalists for the Cardinals job

Selfishly, I'd like it if Flores doesn't get hired so he can stay in Pittsburgh a while longer.
