How good is Anquan Boldin?

I've liked Boldin since he was at FSU competing for the QB job. That is my disclaimer.

If you look at his numbers taking away 2003 because Fitz wasn't there and we all know what Boldin did. (101 rec, 1377 yards, 8 TD.)

Boldin-312 rec, 4081 yards, 21 TD, in 52 games.

Fitz- 330 rec, 4544 yards, 34 TD in 60 games.

Their numbers are comparable. Then you look at the money Larry is getting and you see why Anquan is upset. I know that a lot of people say that he should play out his contract or he shouldn't have signed it. I respectfully don't agree. We all know that in the NFL your contact is basically a yearly thing. If you are underperfomring you are cut, it's that simple. I mean look at McNair and the titans. He was the titans and they barred him from their facilities. So you have to get your money while you can. These are the money making years for both the Arizona WR so I say get your money. Granted Anquan has 3 years left on his deal, but if he is gonna put up number one type numbers with Larry then pay him comprable money to Larry.

For the sake of comparison I left out his rookie year, but you look at his body of work and he is arguably Arizona's #1 WR. Is he top 10? Maybe. Is he outperforming his current contract based soley on the money other WR are making who haven't put up numbers near to his? Yes.

Personally I think he is the best WR in the game. Moss is getting older and T.O. is too. Boldin is a freaking beast. And I would love the Vikings to go after him. The kid is stud and plays hard. It is hard to bring him down and he is so strong. So this is a bad thing for the Cards.

Moss at 30 sure didn't look old. I bet it's another 3-4 years before he starts to slow down.

And you would be wrong. If he loses any speed he will be done as the fast Moss and have to become a Herman Moore.

You do that. I have been a big Moss guy, but he is one good injury from being a 3rd WR.
