but seriously, i haven't put much thought into exact scenarios and i'm not an agent. the problem is agents focus on getting paid, not protecting for injury. they throw that around as an excuse but how did boldin protect against injury with his current contract? he signed a long one for more job security... but now wants more money.

boldin didn't come into the league expected to be a beast at wr. signing a shorter contract would've made sense. he basically underestimated how good he'd be. he should deal with it.
Its under my impression that Boldin signed his contract after his 2004 rookie season in July of 2005. He had an original rookie deal that i assume was small considering he was a 2nd rounder and he decided to except what he thought was a big contract at the time. Only to become better, If I am the Cards there is no way I give him a new contract on the contract we already re-negotiated.

Hes worth a hell of a lot more and if he hit the open market he get more then double but hey thats his agents and his fault for taking the first deal that came to them.

Roy Williams:
2006: 16 games, 82 catches, 1310 yards, 7tds
2007: 12 games, 64 catches, 838 yards, 5 tds

What's funny? Per game average the last two years is pretty impressive.

No, but what is funny is that he mentions Roy Williams as a Top 10 receiver when he's not even the best WR in his own division.

Re: How good is Anquan Boldin?

I would put Roy Williams above both Greg Jennings & Donald Driver.

Re: How good is Anquan Boldin?

I guess people on here go by fantasy numbers instead of ACTUAL STATS to determine who's better than who.

Sad thing fantasy football is doing to this sport.
