Bitter about what? That every year we get this same thread proclaiming Giants greatness 2 weeks in to the pre-season?

Not bitter, just amused I guess.

You won the title last year. That's awesome. That was last year, it means nothing for this year. You want respect for that team, they need to earn it all over again, because no one cares about last year anymore.

OK got it. U guys think they're an average team at best and theres nothing left to do but to wait and see.

IMO they're a great team, you guys must use the word great to describe only the greatest of all time. If thats the case replace "great" with "very good".

The Pats, Colts, Chargers, *cringes* Cowboys are great teams.

The Giants are a good team with a great defense.

Lemme ask ya'll this, out of the 42 Super Bowl winners, how many of those teams we're really "great"?

Did I say average. Nope, didn't say anything about their caliber this year. Don't know how good they are as they have yet to play.

You complain about lack of respect, but what have they done this year to get respect?

Great teams are the 85 Bears, 88 Niners, 93 Cowboys etc. This team hasn't proven itself to be anything yet.

And we all know in your opinion they are great, but lets face it, you are pretty biased and they could be an average team and we'd still see a thread like this, because we have indeed seen this thread pretty much every year since I've been here.

Congrats on an amazing SB win. It's now the 2008 season, that win now means zero. Time to prove yourself all over again.

May want to tap the breaks on the Chargers, there are some lingering injury issues that could spell disaster. (Gates, Rivers, Merriman, etc.)

Of all the teams to win the SB, maybe what 10 teams were truly great?

Let me ask you this of all 42 SB winners where would last years Giants rank? I'd say probably near the bottom.

Yeah your right they only beat one of the greatest teams and especially shut down one of the best offenses in NFL history.

And that has what to do with this year?

And if you are ranking the 42 SB winners you'd put them high on that list?
