This is going to be an amazing game. I got the Colts by 3 in a shootout too.

Per ESPN

Quote:
LaDainian Tomlinson said he hopes to be ready to play Saturday night against Indianapolis in the wild-card matchup, despite suffering a strained groin.

"No, I don't think I'll be 100 percent but we'll see what happens day to day, see how it goes and see what happens on Saturday," Tomlinson said.

Tomlinson said his injury could be troublesome.

"A bunch of it," Tomlinson said. "It affects a great deal, especially a running back that likes to do what I do, a lot of cutting and stuff. It definitely affects you."
Colts win 31-21.

This is great! Just like last year, the Chargers have no chance to win, you all remember what happened right! Keep it up guys, hopefully the media keeps riding the colts all the way as well.

Re: AFC Wild Card: Colts @ Chargers

I usually try to stay away from predictions, especially when the team I root for is involved.

What worries me most about this game is the lack of a Michael Turner type back for the Chargers. The Chargers had success against the Colts with their power running game between the tackles....something Turner excelled at.

LT is hurt and not likely to be anywhere near 100% for this game and while Sproles is a very capable back, he's not the type of back that will have a lot of success against the Colts quick defense.

That being said, the Chargers are a lot better than the team the Colts faced nearly six weeks ago and the Colts are the same team they were when they played.

It should be a close, competitive game.

Maybe Micheal Bennent will see some playing time? We signed him for a reason right????

Does he have anything left?

I'd guess from how often Bennett has been inactive since we signed him that it was purely a move to block the Broncos.

I wouldn't put much stock into a running back who has had seven carries the entire season.

Re: AFC Wild Card: Colts @ Chargers

This should be an amazing game, definitely the best game of the Wild Card Round. The Chargers don't exactly match up well with the Colts...as the Colts have the 5th best passing offense and the Chargers have the 31st worst passing defense. And the Chargers have the 7th best passing offense, while the Colts have the 6th best passing defense....the Colts also allowed just 6 passing TD's all season which shatters the previous record of 9 passing TD's allowed in one season. But, I'm not really sure if any of that stuff matters because it seems like everytime the Colts and Chargers play, it's a passing festival no matter what....last year the Colts had a top 5 defense and a top 5 passing defense, yet the Chargers passed on them like crazy. So who knows. But it should be a great game. If the Colts can set the tempo early and if Manning plays like an MVP, we should pull this out.
