Jake Reed was the third receiver.

As far as I know, the only team to have 3 1,000 receivers was the 2004 Colts.

Nice to know. I knew Indy and thought the Redskins may have done it, but not the rest. Certainly not the Falcons.

If I had to take one on my team, I'd take Moss.

They are both great receivers, but TO drops way to many passes (in big spots too).

If I was taking one or the other in their prime on my team, I'd take T.O. I know he is going to turn up and make plays and not quit on me. Moss lost me when he walked off on his team mates at Oakland before the game was over.

That was when he was on Minnesota (it was against Washington) and the game was over, the clock just hadn't run out.

Moss had the edge in hands and speed.
i more or less said the same thing as you. i said owens is a superior blocker and wasn't afraid to go over the middle, though i didn't mention his later propensity to shorten his arms at times.

i still think their route running is equal.

moss wins in hands and speed.

I stand corrected. The game was over? Well just about, though without reopening an old wound for some, he should have remained on the field with his team.

Full story here.

Quote:
Following his childish, selfish departure from FedEx Field on Sunday -- while Minnesota lined up for a desperation onside kick -- the Vikings were subjected to questions about their best player's abandonment of the team during a crucial moment in a season that's become increasingly disappointing.

This time, the responses didn't really sound like support.

Coach Mike Tice: "I understand his frustration, but we can't let our frustrations make us make poor decisions of poor judgment."

Wide receiver Marcus Robinson: "He's going to do what he's gonna do, and it's not a reflection on me or anybody else. That's Randy Moss. He can do basically what he wants to do."

Center Matt Birk: "It shouldn't happen, and if it happens again there might be some problems."

It didn't matter that they had almost no chance -- in the 2 seconds that remained on the clock -- to recover the kick, try a ridiculously long field goal to tie, or complete another Hail Mary touchdown pass to beat the Washington Redskins.
If anyone has played team sport at a level where they're getting paid, you'd understand the frustration of Birk at the time.
