The quality of the competition has nothing to do with it. Just look at the player and realize he has a strong arm, can make all the throws, and has a good football IQ. He'll demonstrate all of that at the combine and be a high draft pick.

Joe Haden or Sean Witherspoon.

Falcons obviously need a quality #1 cornerback. And Haden is that guy. I doubt we can get a high enough draft pick to get him though.

Sean Witherspoon is a reach at the pick we're most likely to acquire (high 'teens), but I'm in favor of dropping down. I'm usually not in favor of trading down, but this rare scenario might be the one case that I'm actually in favor of trading down in the first round and picking up a later round... no one really to be had in the middle of the first for the Falcons, really.

And if we aren't re-signing Norwood, I want Noel Devine.

I like how the only people on the boards that I've seen defend Clausen are Purdue fans, not that it makes a difference.

BTW, I don't think Clausen is anything like Dorsey. Dorsey sucks, and though I'm not sure what offense they ran in Dorsey's days at Florida, Clausen has 3 years in the West Coast, something that is not unnoticed by GMs.
