Crayton will provide good depth and insurance. I only see him getting a lot of playing time if Vjax doesn't play or someone gets injured though.

If Jackson came back tomorrow he'd still be out for 3 weeks... and instead it looks like if he plays for the Bolts again it won't be until week 10 or next year.

Hate to see Crayton leave. He has been a solid third/slot receiver for us and a good punt returner. I know the 'Boys think they are loaded at WR, but they are giving up a more proven player to make room for potential (and I'm not talking about Bryant). Oh well.

Looks like the Texans have signed Derrick Ward.

Might be looking for another, i'm not sure how serious Slaton's injury is. but right now going into week 1, Texans have two RBs Foster and Ward.

Like the Crayton pick up. The wide receiver battle is still wide open IMO. Flyod is the obvious number 1 wide out but, after that anyone can take their over another players spot. Flyod isn't immune to this either but, it's highly unlikely anyone will take his roll as number 1 barring injury.

Can't wait for the season opener. Hopefully Merriman will be ready to go by then but, if not hopefully they won't rush him back in there.

I think Naanee becomes the #1 by week 4. He's more physical and better after the catch. Floyd becomes the #2 guy and Crayton takes over the slot.

VJax will never take another snap in San Diego. He's done here.

I like Naanee but, I'm not sure he can stretch the field like Flyod can. With his 6'5 frame and go up and get it style of play I'm not sure he will be unseated by anyone besides VJ. If he continues to be the best deep threat for SD(which he will be IMO) then I don't see him being beaten out of that number 1 spot.

And yeah VJ is as good as gone at this point. I think he'll be dealt soon. It's to bad VJ won't be apart of it. With hopefully a good consistent running game the passing game will be even more dangerous.

They don't need their #1 to stretch the field. They need one to make plays. Naanee I think will be a better playmaker. He's built more like Jackson and is better after the catch than both. I like Floyd, but Naanee potentially could be the better player in the long run. Floyd's role could be to be the deep guy and stretch the field, although Naanee has shown he's got that ability as well. And at 6'2 or 6'3 he's big and athletic enough to go up and get the ball as well.
