The NFL is the safest that it has ever been. This isn't about safety of the players but the coming law suits for brain injuries of ex-nfl players.

Possibly safest from a non-head perspective, but it's probably the most dangerous it's ever been from a brain trauma perspective due to the modern style of tackling.

NFL is more concern with law suits than with safety of the players. One is driving the other and it is the well being of the players.
