Donovan is still respected and remember this Shanny first year in the NFC East. I give him another year until things implode in their organization.
And remember that Shanahan has two Super Bowl rings and Donovan has none.

Nobody in the locker room has come out to defend McNabb. Shanahan hasn't lost that locker room.

Then what was their explanation for that horrible excuse of a season last year?

Just because a team has a bad season doesn't mean the coach lost the locker room.

He is a HOF coach. He had to lose it somewhat, especially when you bench your 100 million big name DT and the big name QB you just traded for. I'm sure players won't come out and say things (obviously), but there HAD to be some disconnect.

McNabb played like *** most of the season. Whether that's mostly on him or not is another debate, but the fact of the matter is he played bad. The defense was undergoing the switch from a 4-3 to a 3-4, they had key injuries at RB, basically scrubs at WR and an aging offensive line. There was plenty of reason for them to have a bad season aside from the drama.

And about the McNabb/Haynesworth stuff, like it was already said here, none of the players came out defending McNabb. Some did in the early days of the Haynesworth mess, but after it was apparent that Al was giving little to no effort, they agreed with Shanny.

Fair enough. I still think he lost to locker room to a certain degree.

Re: Report: Haynesworth wants to play in Philly

Why would Philly want him?

I would tell him if he gets cut, he could "play" for league minimum + a cake for every game he plays in >75% of the defensive plays. That should get him to sign.

They just hired his old DL coach from Tennessee, Reid likes to give players second chances, fresh start on a projected contender
