I used to get into some heated games with my dad playing Quarterback Club when I was a little kid. One of my sister's friends just gave the game to me for my new Sega Genesis. I can't remember which iteration of the game it was (94, 95, or 96), but I can still remember the kick meter, how killer the spin move was and parts of the QB competition.

I remember one game when my dad was beating me and he was talking so much trash. I got mad and actually spit on him (I was really a good kid and it was totally out of character and out of hand). I won't get into specifics, but his wired controller came flying at my head after that... Lol

Does anyone else find the title to the thread redundant? Pro Bowl. AFC vs NFC. Pro Bowl can't mean anything but AFC vs NFC.

Also does anybody remember that huge hit on Ryan Lindell a few years ago in the pro bowl on a fake punt pass. He got leveled by Ray Lewis I think.

I believe it was the late Sean Taylor

And also, it was the punter Brian Moorman

Yeah, I turned into that turd and was instantly pissed off. Why even bring offensive and defense lines, if they are gonna play like that. Make it a 7 vs 7 passing league, 3-3.5 second clock. Supply 4 teams make it tourney style. Don't dare charge people admission to the thing, and at least one of the teams should consist of all rookies. Something, anything would be better than what I saw yesterday.

You CAN'T play football at half speed, when will the NFL learn?

Simply put, the game needs to turn into a skills competition. Players get face and mic time, the NFL gets to show off their personalities and show off highlights and promotions and nausea, sponsorships galore, money, money, money.

Almost up there with the most notorious NFL redundant phrase: "Frozen Tundra".

I think I heard that the winners of the Pro Bowl get $50K while the losers get $25K. Obvioulsy the 25K extra for winning isn't that much incentive. I wonder if would be motivating if it was changed to $75K for winners, $0 for losers.

Yeah 75k wont make them risk injury to themselves or each other in an irrelevant probowl.

Skill competitions were always more exciting than the games. Watching the pass rush on sunday was awkward. Then the pass coverage... I guess Cam wanted the defense to feel sorta good about themselves with the way he played.

The spin move was borderline cheese in that game lol

Almost a guaranteed broken tackle. It was so easy to take back kickoff returns by spinning around like the Tazmanian devil.
