He could still decide baseball over football. Declaring for the draft was just necessary to do because the deadline was today.

The A's are still working with him on a contract worth more to entice him to choose baseball.

Re: NFL Off Topic

Id be looking at New England or Giants as potential suitors for Rosen if this were to happen. And theres nothing dumb about it. Hes a highly talented QB who doesnt fit what the new HC wants. He had a **** show around him last season which is why he looked bad.

And id say he changed his mind for two reasons. 1) He loves football more than baseball. 2) The money. Being a 1st rounder, hes guaranteed way more than his first, say 5 years in the MLB. And if he never pans out, he'll never get that big pay day.

Maybe it's a bad choice of words but out of all the rookie QBs he looked the worst and was out of his depth. Maybe it could be another Eli Apple situation where a change of scenery could be good for him.

We'll see what happens if they do get Murray.

It's too early to give up on Rosen completely. Yeah he had struggles but what Rookie QB doesn't go through growing pains?

He still had his moments where he displayed his potential. There is a film study that examined his game winning drive to close out the 49ers game, and he made a few big time throws from the pocket. I think you could argue he was in the worst situation out of all the Rookie QBs. (maybe on par with Darnold)

One year is way too soon, but adding in the factors around Rosen, it’s a complete throwaway. Besides Baker, each quarterback had major stretches of bad play couple with streaks of good quarterbacking. None of the teams should be giving up on their QB so soon.

But damn I saw some Cardinals games this year where Rosen was just abused. It actually felt wrong to see him thrown around like he was, like it was a pee wee game where one team is organized and practices and the other just shows up for games. Rosen didn’t look like he was having fun. The Cards have fallen so fast from where they were.

Unless they upgrade their WR, I’d welcome a trade. You’re the worst team in the league a year after you were the 10th pick. The team just fired their HC after a year and just grabbed a guy who may be one and done too. Most other situations are going to be rosier than this.

I wonder what Rosen would get in a trade. I seriously have no idea the value of quarterbacks on the trade market. You could tell me a 2nd or two 1sts and I could see the argument for why for either.

For what it's worth (which, just being one guy's opinion, isn't that much) Deion Sanders said Kyler Murray should pick baseball and not think twice about it.

His exact words were "pick up the baseball bat and never look back".

Goff looked awful in 2016 and Trubisky looked awful in 2017. And yet they look like decent picks now.
