Re: NFL Off Topic

I get great entertainment from watching NFL Playoff Games drive people crazy.

The hot takes, overreactions, the conspiracy theories....it’s all funny to me.

Admit it; you're enjoying it more this year because the Pack are home...you have to enjoy the playoffs somehow.

Lol nah, I’ve always enjoyed it even when we weren’t involved(which hasn’t been much).

It’s the extra stuff like what I mentioned that I’m over, when it comes to Sports. So when I see it here, I just sit back and smile.

I can admit I’m the last person anyone would want to watch a game with, because I don’t partake in that mess lol.

NFL coaches may be allowed to throw the challenge flag for pass interference penalties next season.

After a crucial non-call went against the Saints on Sunday, Mark Maske of the Washington Post reports that coaches’ challenges may be used on pass interference, and potentially other penalties, starting in the 2019 preseason.

“It will be discussed at length along with additional fouls that coaches feel should be subject to review,” one source said.

That has been discussed before, and has been successfully implemented in the Canadian Football League, but it has never received the support from the required three-fourths of the owners to change any rule.

The bad call against the Saints could convince enough owners to reconsider that the rule could change this year. And it wouldn’t be surprising to see replay review considered for other fouls as well, including facemasking — which should have been called on a crucial Jared Goff run before the Rams settled for a field goal in the fourth quarter. It’s probably only a matter of time before replay review is routinely used to call penalties that the officials on the field missed.
Sooo are we ever gonna get enough support to make DPI a 15 yard penalty and not a spot foul or nah?

Re: NFL Off Topic

I can't say i'm surprised by this report

Apparently Carson Wentz is selfish, needlessly complicates the offense and bullies fellow players and coaches. Hoo boy....

Hints that there was something rotten with the Eagles were laid out when Foles took over. I remember one SNF game Collinsworth was talking about how it seems they were better with Foles under center and players liked him a lot. On one of the MMQB podcasts one of the co-hosts used to work in production meetings with SNF and he said Michaels or Collinsworth wouldn't say stuff like that unless they were 100% convinced it was true.

One part about the article sticks out to me big time:

Quote:
"Carson Wentz’s biggest enemy is Carson Wentz” a source told Joseph Santoliquito. “He’s had his *** kissed his whole life, and sometimes acts like he’s won 10 Super Bowls, when he hasn’t played in, let alone won, a playoff game yet. Everyone around him wants good things for him. He did more thinking on the field than he did playing (in 2018). You don’t have to be a brain surgeon or a football expert to see how differently this team plays and reacts with one guy as opposed to the other."
This has to make the whole Wentz vs Foles thing even more complicated now.

NFL Off Topic

FWIW, Fletcher Cox and Brandon Brooks spoke out earlier and basically said “as a leader on the team, none of this is true”.

Zach Ertz said the same thing as well.

That being said, it’s sad that stuff like this gets out public. Not even sure what’s there to gain from leaking this.

I think that's why this article came out AFTER their season. I would likely side with the guys in the room on this one but there's a ton of smoke so there may be some fire.

That being said, it sounds like this came out as the writer probably wants Foles rather than Wentz at QB.
