I still think this Commanders branding is lazy and tacky. I still think there was a missed opportunity here to do something really innovative to meaningfully excite and engage people in the DMV area with the new team identity. I still think there was an chance here to reintroduce the team in a brand new more thoughtful light, to meaningfully begin to distance the current team from the disgusting organization which abused its employed women and cheerleaders, to reconcile its own vile history of being the last football team to integrate, and to admit wrongdoing by its original patriarch who banned an entire race of people from the National Football League in the 1930s and 1940s.

However, in the bigger picture I must cede that Commanders is by default an improvement over the old name - the catalyst for the entire rebranding project - by virtue of not being overtly racist.

I guess im fine with the name, but the helmet? Incredibly lazy. You literally took the placeholder "W" logo, and slapped it on the helmet with a yellow stripe down the middle.

The name is fine. The uniforms are uninspiring. I didn't like any of the suggested names I've seen. Most of them were more Arena Football/MiLB than Commanders is.
