I haven't seen anything with the game yet, but if his backup performed well, the team won, and Cam can use some more weeks off, there isn't something that says that QB won't get another chance to show them something.

If he is cheaper and they can build around that QB, then they could trade Cam. Same with the other way around and the backup QB. That's how these things go.

Cam's job in Carolina, for all I know, could be seeing an end though. I'm not stating one way for sure because I have absolutely no idea how that game went (I'll wait till I catch the highlights and breakdown), but it's not the hottest take in the world. That's the point I'm trying to make.

Two ugly wins, but I’ll take 3-0.

Re: Week 3 Discussion Thread

Frickin' second week in a row that SNB and SNF are being hosted in the same city.

I think he's gone after this season anyways. He looks unhappy, constant revolver at OC, bad OL...I think both sides will agree to split.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

Re: Week 3 Discussion Thread

I'm sure Cam still has a job if he hasn't taken up knitting.

In all seriousness. Panthers looked so fluid today. Just one game. But the offense has just stalled with Cam Newton as of late. Obviously it was just the Cardinals defense. But good win nonetheless.

Re: Week 3 Discussion Thread

Kyle Allen today was certainly better than the injured shell of Cam Newton we’ve seen the last half season for Carolina. A healthy Cam is better, but I’m starting to wonder if that’s ever going to happen again, and Cam is on the wrong side of 30 now.

That being said, it’s one game. Kyle Allen certainly hasn’t looked that good in past action, so I’m not holding my breath.
